Anyone know of a reliable bracket. I have broken two in three months(Mr gasket two piece type). I was trying to find one that bolts to the block and head and not to the header bolts.

I have never seen one that uses the header bolts. They all go to the head and block. That may be the problem.

I found some that bolt to the block and head. The fun part is trying to find out what gen the block is. I think it is a pre-86 since the oil dip stick is on the drivers side.

I found one that will work from Allan Grove Components. It is 1/4" thick plate and bolts to the head and water pump. I can even check my power steering fluid. I also have the new break pedal assembly clip on so now i can drive.....just in time for the cold front and chance of rain.
