Ok, almost got it. I got the motor back this week and my daughter helped me this morning and we should have it running either today or tomorrow. If all goes well, we will be out somewhere in it next weekend.

You know I love the Vega the most. But look forward to seeing this one too.

Ok, it runs. Actually drove it to the gas station and back. All seems well. I need to put some more test miles on it before going too far from home. Also, need to get the AC charged up(yes, that's air conditioning. the thing that blows COLD air into the passenger compartment).

Only three. But I did finally convince the wife that you could never have too many.

Don't suppose you have the ultra rare Ram Air V tunnel port motor in that jewel, do you? ;D Car looks great.

No Ram Air V. Just a stroked 455. There is a guy that shows up at Cabellas in an Orange 69 that has a V in it. Said he bought the motor from someone and puts it in every car he has owned over the years. (only one I've ever seen) The guy was pretty excited that I even knew what it was. Also found a place that at one point was going to offer aluminum Ram Air V heads. Plus the intake and headers, etc. Haven't looked into that lately.

Way cool. Back in it's day the tunnel port RA V could have been a screamer had there been more technology and parts to support it. Prices on that stuff these days are unreal if you can even convince someone to sell it. Nunzi's automotive out of New York used to be an expert on those. Not sure if anyone really has a solid race set up these days with the RA V stuff though. Mainly Indian blocks with Wenzler or Edelbrock heads, etc.
